COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After Coldwater Community School district voters turned down a $64 million bond issue on May 5 that would have been used for major upgrades to Coldwater High School, Superintendent Paul Flynn told the Board of Education on Monday night they will try again.
He said it’s time to regroup and review because the district can not ignore the needs of the high school. Flynn said the first steps of that process will begin today
Flynn said he also plans to meet with the Building and Grounds Committee before bringing another proposal to the board.
The proposal two weeks ago was turned down by a margin of 2,104 to 1,677. It marked the third time voters have turned down a bond proposal by the district in the last five years.
