COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The season of sidewalk and street repair work has begun in Coldwater.
In his report to the Coldwater City Council for their meeting Tuesday afternoon, City Manager Keith Baker says work has begun on the replacement of sidewalks along the north side of West Chicago Street between Pierson Street and Munson Street. He says the work will take a couple of weeks and then the contractor will move into the Arrowhead, Northshore, Thompson and Amberview neighborhoods. Parrish Excavating of Quincy, MI is the contractor on the project.

The Liberty Street repaving project from Grand Street to Marshall Street is scheduled to start the week of June 8 and should be completed by the end of July. Excell Paving, Inc. of Coldwater is the general contractor on the project.
The Morse Street reconstruction project from US-12 to Smith Street is scheduled to begin the week of June 15 and be completed by the end of August. Rieth Riley, Inc. of Kalamazoo is the general contractor on the project.
East Pearl Street from Sprague Street to Division Avenue and West Pearl from South Clay Street to Fremont Street reconstruction project will start in July and extend well into the fall. Baker says this major project includes one block of South. Hudson Street between US-12 and East Pearl. The project scope includes water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer repairs, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks and full road replacement.
Bids will be opened June 4, 2026, with council action scheduled for Monday June 8.
