MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) achieved record participation during its annual April Youth Month promotion, awarding over $9,900 in incentives to more than 700 young members.
The initiative encouraged healthy financial habits by rewarding youth for making deposits, opening accounts, and actively engaging with their finances, reinforcing the credit union’s commitment to financial education during its 75th anniversary year.
The program, which supports MCCU’s year-round focus on youth financial wellness through community outreach and school partnerships, aims to build confidence with money through hands-on experience.
Community & Youth Engagement Manager Laura Santos said it’s important to invest in the next generation by encouraging responsible saving and spending habits early on.
