COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s a little less expensive to fill the gas tank to start this week. Triple-A Michigan says the state’s average price is down 21-cents a gallon to $4.17 , which is 61-cents more than last month and 99-cents more than last year.
Most counties around the area are below the state average, in Branch County the average has fallen to $4.01 per gallon but a number of stations are under $4.00 per gallon for the first time in weeks. Hillsdale County is all the way down to $3.86 per gallon on average, St Joseph County is at $4.05 and Calhoun County at $4.02 per gallon.
Across the state line in Indiana they have the lowest pump prices in the nation with an average of $3.45 but at least a couple of stations in the Fremont area are selling regular unleaded this morning for $3.18 per gallon
