COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A massive celebration of mechanical heritage is heading to the Branch County Fairgrounds as the inaugural Rigs & Relics Midwest Muster & Meet rolls into town from June 26–28.
Hosted in collaboration with Vintage Media Inc. and the Great Lakes International Antique Fire Apparatus Association (GLIAFAA),the three-day, family-friendly event will transform the fairgrounds into a living history museum of American transportation.
Enthusiasts and families alike can look forward to exploring an impressive collection of vintage fire trucks, antique police cars, historic motor coaches, rescue vehicles, and military rigs from across the Midwest.
A major highlight of the weekend includes the exclusive unveiling of “Memphis,” a beautifully restored 1983 Silver Eagle touring bus that famously carried legendary rock acts like Journey, Judas Priest, and Crosby, Stills & Nash.
While Friday is reserved for participant move-in, the public excitement kicks into high gear on Saturday, June 27, starting with a highly anticipated emergency vehicle parade at 11:30 AM.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy live fire and safety demonstrations, meet local first responders, browse a massive swap meet and artisan market, and treat themselves at a community food truck rally.
The event wraps up on Sunday with a relaxed schedule featuring a pancake breakfast and a final opportunity to chat with the restorers keeping these unique pieces of history operational.
