FRANKENMUTH,MI (WTVB) – Star of the West Milling Co., headquartered in Frankenmuth, has announced plans to significantly expand its flour milling operations in Quincy.
The project will add a new state-of-the-art flour mill and substantially increase grain storage capacity at the facility, which is located approximately four hours from the company’s corporate headquarters.
The initiative aims to enhance production efficiency and meet growing demand for the company’s flour products.
The expansion involves constructing a new milling structure along with additional warehouses and infrastructure to support modern milling equipment. According to company officials, the project will incorporate the latest advancements in milling technology, allowing for improved product quality, operational efficiency, and capacity to serve customers across the region.
Construction is already underway, with the company emphasizing a focus on safety and minimal disruption to current operations.
Company leaders highlighted the project’s potential to create economic benefits locally while strengthening the firm’s position as a leading provider of high-quality flour and grain products.
The expansion is expected to be completed in phases, with full benefits realized over the coming years.
