COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of the most anticipated downtown Coldwater events of the year returns this weekend with the annual Strawberry Fest.
The annual sweet summer tradition is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in past years the annual event has broght in excess 10,000 visitors to the downtown area.
City Manager Keith Baker says participation for the event is at an all-time high, announcing that all vendor slots have been completely filled and it may be time to expand.
The fully packed lineup ensures a high-traffic showcase of seasonal treats, fresh agricultural produce, and family-friendly activities spread throughout South Monroe Street, the Tibbits Plaza parking lot, and Four Corners Park.
This year’s free-to-the-public community festival will feature more than 200 diverse vendors selling everything from handmade artisan crafts to fresh, locally grown strawberries.
You can also look forward to food trucks, live musical performances in front of the Tibbits Opera House, and an array of children’s entertainment, including a bounce house and petting zoo.
According to the event layout shared by the City of Coldwater, visiting patrons are encouraged to explore downtown parking options early, while arriving vendors are directed to utilize the county parking lot on East Pearl Street.
As of this afternoon Saturdays forecast is calling for sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70’s
