BRONSON, MI (WTVB) -A large, multi-agency police presence mobilized on the east side of Bronson Tuesday evening following a tip regarding a missing person.
Troopers with the Michigan State Police , deputies from the Branch County Sheriff’s Department along with Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Police focused their search on a small wooded area located behind the Family Practice of Bronson off US-12.
Officers cordoned off the perimeter with caution tape and deployed a mobile forensics crime lab alongside specialized K-9 units for several hours into the night.
The search concluded around 10:00 p.m. when law enforcement cleared the scene without locating the individual in question.
Branch County Sheriff Frederick Blankenship confirmed that the tip indicated a known missing person was in the wooded area, though the person was not found.
While the initial search yielded no results, the investigation remains active as local and state authorities continue to evaluate information regarding the case.
