COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s most popular summer street party, Hops on Monroe, kicks off its seventh season tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. along South Monroe Street.
The free, block party will feature live acoustic music by Scotty Butters, craft beers from Muskegon’s Pigeon Hill Brewery, and local food trucks Small Town Girl and Sweets on the Street.
To accommodate the weekly event, which runs every Thursday through September 3, city officials will close South Monroe Street between US-12 and West Pearl Street from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
If you are headed downtown this evening advised to use caution near the West Chicago Street intersection, where a portion of the east sidewalk remains barricaded due to potential falling debris from a nearby building.
In addition to food, drink and entertainment, you also can purchase official merchandise, including custom dog bandanas and t-shirts, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Downtown Coldwater / Main Street program.
