COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A downtown Coldwater art event that started last year has been moved to the fall for 2026.
“Art After Hours” was originally scheduled to be held this Friday night but Downtown Development Authority and Main Street Director Kristen Johnson told the D.D.A. Board of Directors on Wednesday it was postponed until October 2 to coincide with Hoptober fest
“Art After Hours” will be held that night from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. while Hoptober fest on South Monroe Street will go until 10:00 p.m..
“Art After Hours” “was designed as a way to encourage foot traffic in the downtown area and to highlight the role that art plays in the community.
It’s part of a series of art projects that have been developed over the past year after the 2024 Corridor and Public Amenity Survey identified a clear demand for more public art in the downtown area.
