COLDWATER MI, (WTVB) – Gas prices are up as we head into the fourth of July holiday week. The average price drivers are paying for a gallon of gas in Michigan is up nine-cents in the last week. Triple-A Michigan says the price is now up to four-dollars-ten-cents.
Locally in Branch County the average this morning sits slightly below the state average at $4.06. In St Joseph County it’s $4.00 and Calhoun County at $4.03 Hillsdale County continues to have one of the lowest averages in the entire state at $3.93 per gallon
Indiana continues to have the lowest pump prices in the nation at $3.21 per gallon with a number of stations in Steuben County well below $3.10 this morning.
Nationally the average is $3.86 per gallon.
Oil prices remained steady over the weekend at around $70 per barrel.
