COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has officially opened the bidding process for Phase 2 of the Rotary Park Renovation project, following the near completion of major infrastructure updates during the first phase.
Phase 1 has focused on revitalizing the park’s water access on the east side of the Coldwater River. Upgrades delivered to the community include a new double concrete boat launch, a boat wash station designed to prevent the spread of invasive species, new modern public restrooms with an integrated sewer lift station, a single consolidated park entrance, and expanded parking spaces to support trailer traffic.
City Manager Keith Baker says they are now taking bids for Phase 2 that will include additional upgrades and additions to the park.
According to the City of Coldwater Bid Portal, all formal construction proposals must be finalized and submitted by Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM to be considered by the city council. Baker said once construction contracts are awarded they will begin work on Phase 2 sometime late this summer.
