COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy says it will be focusing today on communities hit hardest by this weekend’s pre-holiday storm, moving more crews into Hillsdale, Adrian and the Lansing and Battle Creek areas. The company plans to restore power to a majority of affected customers by the end of the day.
As of 12:00 p.m. Sunday, 922 customers in Branch County were still without power. Over 3,900 are still out in Hillsdale County, 9,700 in Kalamazoo County, and 9,400 in Jackson County.
Consumers Energy crews have been joined by Michigan contractors and lineworkers from Ohio, Maryland and Alabama today.
