COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Gas prices have shot up in Branch County and across the state again this week.
The average price for gas in Michigan is up to $4.36 a gallon, the highest it’s been since May. AAA Michigan says the price is up 13-cents from last week, 31-cents since last month and is $1.22 higher than last year.
Branch County has some the highest prices in the state, with gas at $4.40 per gallon Monday morning. It’s listed at $4.28 per gallon in Calhoun County, $4.26 in Hilsdale County, and $4.36 in St. Joseph County.
GasBuddy.com lists prices between $3.57 and $3.59 per gallon across the border in Steuben County, Indiana.
Michigan’s most expensive gas is in Lansing and Jackson at $4.43 and Marquette has the lowest price at $4.15.
