VICKSBURG, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s JV girls golf team traveled to The States Golf Course in Vicksburg Friday for the first JV jamboree of the season and tied for third place out of the ten teams that participated. Mattawan won the event with a 207; followed by Vicksburg with a 210; and Coldwater and Sturgis tied for third place with 217.
Coldwater was led by Kenna Niedzwiecki who shot a 40, which was good for a foutth place finish overall in the event. Rory Simpson and Julianna Cowles each had rounds of 54, and Alana Houtz rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 59.
The next event for the Cardinal JV team will be Wednesday’s Lakeview JV Invitational at Cedar Creek Golf Course. The Cardinal varsity squad will be at Cedar Creek on Monday.
