Amy was born February 12, 1970 in Manistee, Michigan to Stephen and Agnes (Albright) Newman. She later met Kevin L. Paradine, and the two were married July 9, 1994.
Amy devoted much of her life to education and, most importantly, to the children she taught. For 31 years, she was a beloved teacher at Quincy Middle School. She also took great pride in being involved with Quincy athletics and was honored with an award from the Michigan Basketball Coaches of Michigan Hall of Honor for her dedication and involvement in Quincy sports.
Amy enjoyed so much of what life had to offer. She loved camping, hiking, traveling, gardening, teaching, and being involved in athletics. She was also an avid Notre Dame sports fan.
Above all else, Amy treasured the time she spent with her husband, Kevin, her son, Anthony and his wife Allison, and her two beloved granddaughters, Katherine and Evelyn. Her love for her family, her students, and her community will be deeply missed.
Amy is survived by her husband, Kevin Paradine; her son, Anthony (Allison) Paradine; her granddaughters, Katherine and Evelyn; her siblings, Danny (Joyce) Newman, Diane (Tom) Helminiak, and Susan (Phil) Skiera; her aunt, Marilyn Perski; and many other loving family members and friends.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents.
