COLDWATER,MI (WTVB) – Road reconstruction on Hudson Street in Coldwater will temporarily alter traffic and parking configurations at the Branch County Courthouse starting Tuesday, September 8.
The City of Coldwater’s infrastructure project is slated to shut down access to the courthouse for approximately one month.
To accommodate visitors and jurists, the main courthouse parking lot will remain entirely open to the public, as courthouse employees have been directed to park off-site in the nearby Roosevelt Lot off Pearl Street.

Navigating the facility will require drivers to follow a strict one-way access plan during the construction period.
Vehicles can only enter the courthouse grounds via the alley located just east of the library off Chicago Street.
All traffic must exit on the south side of the main parking lot onto Pearl Street, utilizing a temporary ramp constructed for the vehicle transition; drivers are specifically warned not to attempt to enter the lot from Pearl Street.
Visitors can look for directional signage across the area to guide them through the temporary route.
