SPRINGPORT, MI (WTVB) – Cross country teams from Coldwater and Quincy took part in the Springport Invitational, where the field was divided up into two divisions.
Division 1
Both Cardinal teams won their respective races in Division 1. The boys finished with 25 points, while the girls tallied 13.
The boys race saw Luke Aerts finish second, Sebastian Hernandez third, Lucas Newberry fourth, and Drew Vanderpuyl sixth. Colin Young was tenth, Henry Koyl 13th, and Benjamin Travelbee 15th. In addition, Braylon Wood, Bentley Hessler, and Logan Decker swept the top three places in the boys JV Division 1 race.
Mya McBride won the girls race, with Ellerie Bucklin third, Ellie Aughenbaugh fourht, Miyah Moore sixth, Ella Thompson seventh, and Paula Mancera Rodriguez eighth. Olivia Rinard, Taylor Jones, and Renata Azocar took the top three places in the girls JV Division 1 race.
Division 2
Quincy won the Division 2 boys race with 46 points, while the Lady Orioles were fourth in the girls race with 80 points.
Hunter Walker was second for the Quincy boys, while Carter Feltner was third, Nathan Dunn tenth, Coy Wood 14th, Nolan King 20th, Eli Morris 22nd, and Jack Miller 32nd.
Kendyl Musielewicz finished fifth for the Oriole girls, with Bailey Porter 12th, Lauren Tappenden 14th, Clare Robertson 24th, Cali Richards 28th, and Lily Neubecker 37th. Claire Carpenter finished second in the girls JV Division 2 race, while Victoria Francis was third.

Coldwater returns to action Friday at MSU’s Forest Akers East Golf Course for the Spartan Invitational. Quincy will run at the Lakeview Invitational on Saturday.
