Dale Edward Owen, 76, of Quincy passed away at home Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday, September 21, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Allen Cemetery with Elder Tom Cornett officiating.
Family will receive friends for visitation Monday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy
He was born November 10, 1949 to Kenneth and Clara (Crawford) Owen in Hillsdale. He married Beth Watkins April 11, 1975, and she survives.
Dale graduated from Coldwater High School class of 1968 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1968 to 1972 and spent two years in the reserve after that. Once he was honorably discharged, he worked for Eckrich, now Conagra, as a maintenance supervisor for 41 years.
In retirement, Dale loved to play golf and deer hunt. He was an avid reader always expanding his knowledge of western history, war, and American history. He had a way with words and was most likely being a jokester. Above all, he cherished his family, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Beth Owen; two daughters, Michelle (Thad) Paul, Melanie (Gerl) Pish; seven grandchildren, Morgan (Tre) Nichols, Brody Pish, Gerl Pish, Macy Pish, Madde Pish, Micha Paul, and Tanner Paul; Multiple great-grandchildren; and Dales best friend since sixth grade and Marine partner, Bill (Gloria) Parshall.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ann Davis, Bonnie Wedgwood, and John Owen.
