Kenneth Ray “Kenny” D’Water, 60, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away at his home Thursday, September 24, 2026.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born August 14, 1966 in Albion, MI, to Robert Janusz and D.J. D’Water. Kenny was a hardworking and diligent man who spent much of his career working in the manufacturing industry. He took pride in doing a job well and was someone who could always be counted on to put in the work.
His faith was also an important part of his life, and he attended the Church of Christ in Coldwater.
Outside of work, Kenny found enjoyment in the simple things that made life meaningful to him. He enjoyed fishing and had a special appreciation for eagles. However, his greatest passion was anything with an engine. Kenny loved working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles and could often be found spending time turning wrenches, solving problems, and bringing his projects to life. Among all the vehicles he enjoyed, his ’72 Nova held a particularly special place in his heart.
Kenny will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of cars and motorcycles, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the genuine way he lived his life. He leaves behind memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved him. His family will carry his memory with them always, grateful for the time they shared with him and for the lasting impression he made throughout his life.
Kenny leaves behind his children Niccole (Anthony Farlin) D’Water of Harrodsburg, KY, Michael D’Water of Coldwater, MI; his mother D.J. D’Water of Coldwater, MI; his grandchildren Kollion Petersen, Jordayn Collyer; his loving nieces and nephews; his life partner Carol Emerson of Battle Creek; his best friend Roger Ernsberger; and the mother of his children Trenna Goings.
He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Bobby Janusz, and his grandmother Lucy Cole.
