COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with 1-1 tie at home with Gull Lake Saturday.
The game remained scoreless until 13:14 left to play when Gull Lake scored on a direct kick after a Coldwater foul.
The Cardinals tied the score with 1:10 left to play on a goal from Abdulhamid Munassar, assisted by Maher Semar.
Mackenson Berry made seven saves in goal as Gull Lake outshot Coldwater 8-7.
The Cardinals are now 10-1-1 on the season and will play at Hastings Tuesday. A win would give Coldwater the outright Interstate 8 Conference title for the second straight year.
The Coldwater junior varsity team also had a dramatic finish Saturday, as Ricardo Agaton scored with 18 seconds remaining for a 1-1 tie with Gull Lake.
The JV team is off until Saturday when they travel to Lansing Waverly.
