COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The seventh annual Hoptoberfest is coming to South Monroe Street in downtown Coldwater Friday night, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The now annual event celebrates Coldwater’s German heritage and its partnership with sister city Soltau, Germany, City Manager Keith Baker says you can plan on a festive evening
The 21-and-older encore event to the summer’s Hops on Monroe series will feature Oktoberfest beers from various Michigan craft breweries at Broadway Grille, alongside traditional German fare from vendors like Small Town Girl and Ben’s Pretzels.

If you plan on attending , you are encouraged to dress in traditional German attire, and enjoy Coldwater’s Social District while being entertained by accordion music and yodeling from Jay Fox and the Jammin’ Germans, as well as performances by the Fort Wayne Tanzers dance troupe.
Admission to the festival is $5 at the gate, with the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities serving as this year’s main sponsor.
This year’s festival will run in tandem with the Coldwater Main Street Art After Hours, a free downtown event scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Main Street Director Kristen Johnson says this for the entire family
Johnson says downtown businesses will showcase visual art from regional creators, offer live art demonstrations, and host complimentary wine and chocolate tastings along the street.
