QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In hopes of addressing the Quincy Community School District’s large need for substitute teachers, the Quincy Board of Education Monday night approved the hiring of a long term high school social studies sub and approved the creation of a temporary long term sub position for the rest of this school year.
Superintendent Marc Kramer wanted to get the word out about the need for subs.
Kramer said they are prepared to deal with a high number of staff absences.
Kramer said the long term sub would be at the school every day for the rest of the year and would be available to go where they are needed.
Connor Michael would serve as the high school social studies long term substitute.

I would love to sub in the area, but retired teachers are not allowed to sub in Michigan without it affecting retirement pensions. So I have to drive down to indiana to sub. They really need to fix it so retired teachers could sub.
They have to raise their rates, sad when fast food pays more.
