COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There is a Coldwater Legg Middle School student that always has a smile to share with everybody. The happy attitude of Legg Middle School 8th grader Gavin Budd is one reason he is the Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club Student of the Month for March.
Wednesday morning at the Club’s weekly meeting, Gavin received the Exchange Club’s Young Citizenship Award. The recognition goes to students who demonstrate quality conduct in their everyday lives, including in academics and leadership.
Carol Borden, last year’s Club President, presented the award and said Gavin is a role model for his peers, always showing a respectful and positive attitude who leads by example while maintaining a high grade point average. Borden said Budd’s ever present smile makes people feel good about themselves.
When he graduates from high school, Budd hopes to attend either the University of Minnesota or West Virginia University and pursue a career in architecture or possibly sports broadcasting.
