COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a East Leroy man who was arrested in Union City on five charges during a traffic stop March 12, 2018 has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
20-year-old Cole Richard Christian is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine second offense, carrying a concealed weapon, receiving and concealing a weapon, having no insurance and having improper plates.
Court documents indicate he was stopped by Union City Police for an equipment and plate violations. Police say a subsequent search led to the discovery of 2.45 grams of meth and a 45 caliber pistol under the driver’s seat that authorities say was stolen out of Battle Creek.
Christian is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference in Branch County Circuit Court May 7, 2018.
