COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Girard man was ordered to serve between 19 months and seven years in the Michigan Department of Corrections Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after entering a pair of guilty pleas in a child pornography case.
46-year-old Arthur Mack was arrested last December following a Michigan State Police investigation into his possession and sharing of child porn.
He got concurrent sentences after entering guilty pleas to using a computer to commit a crime and having child sexually abusive material. Mack must also comply with the Michigan Sex Offense Registry.
He was given credit for 95 days already served in the Branch County Jail.
In exchange for his guilty pleas, prosecutors dismissed charges of distributing and promoting child abuse as well as a second count of using a computer to commit a crime.
