COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Despite taking an early 1-0 lead, the Coldwater High School girls varsity fell at home to Jackson High 6-1 Monday.
The Lady Cardinals got their lone goal from Malorie Rzepka with 24 minutes to play in the first half. Jackson High then got two goals back before the halftime break, including one on a penalty kick. The Vikings scored four second half goals, including two on long range direct kicks, with the last coming with 2:34 to play.
Nadia Kiersey made 4 saves in goal. The Lady Cardinals next play April 12 at DeWitt.
The Coldwater JV team played to a 0-0 tie with Jackson High.
