COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Police say a report into an alleged assault and battery complaint last Friday at Coldwater High School will be forwarded to the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office for a review on criminal charges.
They say officers were dispatched to the school just before 8:00 a.m..
During the investigation into the allegations, it was reported that a 17-year-old Coldwater High School student allegedly assaulted another high school student in the school library.
The entire assault was said to have been recorded on the school’s security surveillance camera.
The victim sought treatment at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital and was later released.
