DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The St. Charles Borromeo Middle School Quiz Bowl team of David Richards, Sophia Andelon, Zack Grines, Luke Grines, Madeline Brammer, and Tyler Stritzinger, competed at the State NAQT Middle School Championship Tournament hosted by Detroit Catholic Central. The tournament brought together some of the best teams in Michigan to compete for the title.
St. Charles finished the day with a record of 4-4, which put them in 13th place out of 26 teams.The team started the day with 3 losses to teams who made the finals, including the eventual 2nd place team of St. Michaels from Livonia, but finished with a 4-1 record.
Leading St. Charles in scoring was David Richards followed by Sophia Andelon and Zack Grines.
