JENISON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls tennis team finished third Saturday at the season opening Jenison Invitational. Caledonia was first with 21 points followed by Jenison with 13 points, Coldwater with 10 points and Kalamazoo Loy Norrix with four points.
Coldwater had four flights that came in second place. They were fourth singles player Loveleen Lalia, the first doubles team of Samantha Youse/Gabby Boston, the third doubles team of Payton Molnar/Mikaela Daoud and the fourth doubles team of Amber Aquire/Mae Blansit.

There’s conflicting information as to how the Coldwater boys track team did in the season opening Eastern Michigan University Huron Relays. The Coldwater coaches say they edged Harper Creek by a half point 46.5 to 46 to finish in first. The results from the meet that were posted on www.athletic.net showed the Coldwater boys finished second in the small school division and that Harper Creek won the boys meet by less than a point over Coldwater, 47.2 to 46.5.
The Coldwater girls finished sixth.
