FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A homeless man who broke into a Fremont, Indiana home in January 2017 was convicted Thursday in Steuben County Circuit Court.
It only took a jury 20 minutes to find 48-year-old Clarence Hoskins, Junior guilty of Burglary, Robbery, Battery Against a Child and Theft at the conclusion of a two day trial.
Hoskins is looking at a maximum prison sentence of 21 years when he is sentenced April 16, 2018.
The home invasion took place in the 900 block of Nicholas Trail.
Hoskins was arrested after officers from multiple other agencies responded.
A K-9 was brought in and a perimeter was set up in the area. Hoskins was later located and taken into custody without incident.
