BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater High School had six varsity members make the Interstate 8 All-Conference teams Saturday at the conferences singles championship tournament which was hosted by Battle Creek Pennfield at M-66 Bowl.
Coldwater’s Noella Keplinger finished first in the varsity girls competition with a score of 1108. Allison Caswell was second with a 1,089 score while Alysia VanWormer was ninth with a 988. All three made All Conference . Rilee Cooper-Lewis was 12th with a 956 series and Tiffanie Corwin was 13th with a 926. Both earned honorable mention All-Conference honors.
The Coldwater JV girls squad placed six girls in the top ten to earn medals. Ashley Mobley was first with a 973 series. Hannah Furney took second with a 886. Breanna Hamm was fourth with a 836. Sabrina VanAuker was sixth with a 826 series. Jillianne Combs was seventh with a 780 series and Cassie Pokorny was eighth with a 758 series.
In the boys varsity competition, Alec Keplinger came in second with a 1,324 series. Dayten Yearling took fifth with a 1,157 series and Caleb Champion finished seventh with a 1,135. All three boys were named to the All-Conference tream. Placing 15th and making honorable mention All-Conference was Brandon Rifenburgh.
All three squads finished 8-2 in conference standings. The varsity boys and varsity girls teams both took second in the the conference behind Pennfield. The JV girls finished first in their division.
