Joshua Adam McCans, 30, of Tekonsha, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A memorial service will be held at Lighthouse of Tekonsha at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, with Pastor Jennifer Fair of the Union Church of Tekonsha, UCC officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 pm, also at Lighthouse of Tekonsha on March 2, 2021.
Josh was born September 24, 1990 in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Tekonsha, the son of William and Cheryl (Fraley) McCans. In 2011, he graduated from Tekonsha High School. Josh enjoyed playing on his phone, playing video games on his X Box, Pokemon, Dragon Ball-Z, bonfires, studying science, politics and the medical field, making people laugh, listening to music and singing. Josh was a very funny, strong, smart and compassionate person who beat the odds and was full of life.
Survivors include Josh’s mother, Cheryl McCans of Tekonsha; his siblings, Jacob (June) McCans of Coldwater and Loren (Lefty) Davis of Mesa, AZ; and a nicece, Liberty McCans of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
