COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Christmas Day 2019 in Branch County featured weather that may have been more suited for Easter Sunday.
The official high temperature at the Branch County Airport was 56 degrees which was recorded just before 2:00 p.m..
It was only five degrees short of the all time Christmas Day high temperature in Coldwater of 61 degrees which was set in 1982 when record warm weather took place throughout Michigan and many parts of the country.
Remember when this past June was unseasonably cold, especially during the first half of the month?
The Christmas Day high in Coldwater was only two degrees cooler that the 58 degree high which was recorded June 13, 2019.
It also matched the Christmas Day high for Phoenix, Arizona and was five degrees warmed than the high for Las Vegas.
