FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – The sixth annual Tri-State Tip-Up Festival to benefit homeless veterans and veterans in need will be held January 15-19, 2020 at the American Legion Post in Fremont, Indiana.
The fishing derby starts Friday, January 17. Fish need to be caught in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Prizes will be awarded for Pike, Walleye, Bluegill, Crappie, Perch and Red Ear.
Any fish in those categories that are caught must be alive to be weighed and hung on a huge fish board outside during the Tournament.
The last fish is to be weighed Sunday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m.
The tournament will offer over $2,000 in cash and prizes.
Last year’s tournament proceeds were donated to “Invisible Vets” in Indiana and to the Branch County Veteran’s Relief Fund.
Tickets for participants can be purchased at American Legion Post #257 in Fremont, Indiana.
