COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council Monday night that the construction of the Lofts at Milnes Plaza project in downtown Coldwater will be getting underway in the next week or two after the city found out Monday the financing had been approved.
Work on the Spire Development Management project was originally scheduled to start in May.
The construction of the 50-unit four story building in the Milnes parking lot is expected to take one year to complete.
Parrish Excavating of Quincy will be reconstructing the underground utilities. The project will include repairs and replacement of water, sanitary sewer, electrical and storm sewer utilities to the adjacent buildings on U.S. 12 and North Monroe Street.
