COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After an unseasonably cool June, Mother Nature has made up for lost time with a sizzling month of July.
The Michigan State University Extension Service weather gauge at the Bloom Dairy Farm west of Coldwater has recorded nine days of temperatures above 90 degrees so far this month.
The hottest day was last Wednesday when the high hit 94 degrees.
The gauge has recorded temperatures in the 90s five out of the last eight days.
The stifling weather with heat index readings of over 100 degrees has given way to much cooler conditions for the start of the week.
Monday’s forecast high is in the mid 70’s. The high temperature has been 80 degrees or above every day for the past four weeks ever since the June 24th high of 76 degrees.
