ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Alec Keplinger won the biggest national youth tournament of the year Sunday as he captured the Junior Olympic Gold bowling tournament at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park.
This win also gave Keplinger a spot on the Junior USA team.
The tournament featured the top youth bowlers from across the country who competed for scholarships and spots on Junior Team USA in six divisions. It will be televised at a later date.
Keplinger will be attending Wichita State University in the fall.
As a junior at Coldwater High School, he captured the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division Two boys singles state championsjip.
