QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – It took 22 minutes for the Quincy Board of Education to get through its regular meeting Monday night. The Board approved the hiring of veteran teacher Lisa Evans, who most recently taught at Columbia Central High School near Brooklyn, to be the new high school math teacher.
Superintendent Mark Kramer told the Board that they were seeking a teacher that can teach Advanced Placement Calculus, and the search committee felt that Evans would be a good fit
The Board also accepted the resignation of 8th grade social studies teacher Brienne Peers, who relocated to the east side of the state to be closer to family. And a 10-cent increase in breakfast and lunch costs was approved; breakfast remains free for all Jennings Elementary students.
