COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman gave the Board of Commissioners a timeline Tuesday about what will be taking place over the next couple of months in connection with the construction of the new County Jail.
He said the architects from Byce and Association and the construction manager from Clark Construction will attend the Commissioners work session July 18 to discuss site location and design. That will be followed by a budget presentation in early August with the bonding proposal coming before Commissioners later in the month.
Finalization of the site location and jail design is expected to take place around the first of August.
If everything goes as planned, officials are hoping work on the new jail can start in September.
