UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – A long weekend of fireworks for the Fourth of July holiday kicks off tonight at Alumni Field at Union City High School tonight. Field games for kids begin at 7:00 p.m., with fireworks at dusk.
Fireworks are scheduled at Coldwater’s Heritage Park Thursday night, over Quincy’s Marble Lake Friday, and over Coldwater Lake and Lake George Saturday.
Quincy’s Independence Day parade Thursday morning will start at 11:00 a.m.. Those in the parade are asked to line up in the Quincy High School parking lot starting at 10:30 a.m..
From the high school, the parade route will be west of Colfax, north on Fulton, west on East Jefferson, south on Main Street, east on East Liberty and then north on Fulton before it ends at the high school.
Following the parade, the Quincy Rotary Club will have a pork chop BBQ at the Union Church from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m..
The Coldwater Free Methodist Church will be hosting their Fourth of July Community Bash at Parkhurst Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with food, inflatables, and other games and contests for kids.
