BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – An electrical short is being listed as the cause of a structure fire Tuesday morning at 190 Oak Drive in Bronson.
The Bronson Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at about 8:30 a.m..
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says crews arrived to find a fire in the attic above the dining room.
After they quickly put out the fire, firefighters covered furniture and other items with tarps to reduce water damage.
The property is owned by Shane Harris. Wilber says there was one person in the residence when the fire was discovered.
Crews were on scene for about 90 minutes. Damages were estimated at $5,500. No injuries were reported. The Bronson Police Department also responded.
