COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An official ribbon cutting with the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce was held last Friday for the new Consumers Energy Service Center on Jonesville Road in Coldwater Township.
Consumers Energy Community Affairs Manager Greg Moore welcomed the crowd and thanked them for their community support.
The $9 million 24,000 square foot facility was built on nearly 70 acres of land.
The project was made possible by a 425 Agreement between the City of Coldwater and Coldwater Township.
The new center allowed Consumers Energy to consolidate their Bronson and Jonesville operations. It will also be used as an emergency response staging area and headquarters. 30 employees to work at the new facility.
