QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy’s annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks highlight the upcoming holiday weekend in Branch County.
Quincy’s Independence Day parade Thursday morning will start at 11:00 a.m.. Those in the parade are asked to line up in the Quincy High School parking lot starting at 10:30 a.m..
From the high school, the parade route will be west of Colfax, north on Fulton, west on East Jefferson, south on Main Street, east on East Liberty and then north on Fulton before it ends at the high school.
Following the parade, the Quincy Rotary Club will have a pork chop BBQ at the Union Church from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m..
The Coldwater Free Methodist Church will be hosting their 4th of July Community Bash at Parkhurst Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with food, inflatables, and other games and contests for kids.
Fireworks are scheduled to take place at Union City’s Alumni Field Wednesday night, at Coldwater’s Heritage Park Thursday night, over Quincy’s Marble Lake on Friday, and over Coldwater Lake and Lake George Saturday.

The Lake George Cottagers Association will have their annual Freedom Fest Saturday night with a boat parade, live music and fireworks. The 2019 Lake George Boat parade will take place at 6:30 p.m.. This year’s theme is “American Dream”.
Participants can pre-register by emailing lakegeorgecottagersassociation@gmail.com. There will be a meeting for all participants at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Lake George Marina. Boat numbers will be distributed at that time.
Following the boat parade, there will be live music from the Dan Smyth Band on Lane 130A which will lead up to the annual fireworks show at 10:00 p.m.. The display will be shot off from the usual location at Kope Kon Point.
