COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – For the first time since the weekend of May 4 and 5, no rain was measured this weekend at the Michigan State University Extension rain gauge which is located at the Bloom Dairy Farm west of Coldwater.
In fact, after all of the wet weather this spring and early summer, no rain has been measured at that location in the last five days.
The total amount of rain June ended up being 4.8 inches as it rained on 14 days. That included a stretch of five straight days between June 13 and June 17.
The most amount of rain was recorded June 20 when 1.18 inches was measured.
While there has been a break in the rain over the last few days, the forecast for the Fourth of July is looking wet with showers and thunderstorms likely on Wednesday, Independence Day, and Friday.
