HOMER, MI (WTVB) – In high school track and field, both of Quincy’s teams finished first Saturday at the Homer Pork Weiss Invitational.
The day was highlighted by Madelyn Allman setting a new school record in the girls 300 hurdles with a time of 47.16. Allman broke Kelli Michael’s record which had stood since 1988. Allman also won the 100 hurdles.
Other Quincy winners in the girls meet were Nikkia Cronk (100 and 200), Sarah Bostic (shot put), Emily Hollenbaugh (high jump), Makinzie Groves (pole vault) and Jessica Holcomb (long jump). Quincy also won three of the four relay races as they finished first in the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.
Quincy’s Erik Butchart won the 1600 and the 3200 in the boys meet.
