COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch District Library Board of Trustees is scheduled to interview interim acting Library Director John Rucker about possibly becoming the next director during their monthly meeting Monday afternoon.
Rucker had been serving as the library’s Assistant Director until Linda Lyshol resigned in protest last month.
Lyshol indicated in her resignation letter that there was a conflict with some board members in regards to her duties to the staff and the board, and that this affected for some board members their trust in her.
Her decision to resign as Library Director came after a March 12, 2019 Personnel Committee meeting.
Lyshol had been with the Branch District Library since June 2016 after she had served as a library director Ketchikan, Alaska for five years. She was hired after an exhaustive search, a public forum, and interviews.
