COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man who was accused of firing gunshots in the 100 block of Roosevelt Street in Bronson during the early morning hours of December 23, 2018 was placed on two years of probation Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
32-year-old Starlin DeLeon-Sanchez entered a guilty plea to a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dismissed a charge of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
DeLeon-Sanchez was given a 90 day jail sentence. He got credit for 31 days already served. The balance of jail time was suspended.
Bronson Police reported at the time that numerous residents called Branch County 911 after hearing multiple gunshots.
Investigators later found almost a dozen spent handgun casings. Court documents indicate the suspect told police he fired at the ground after he had earlier gotten into an argument with a former girlfriend.
