BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council will be asked on Monday evening to approve the purchase of a blighted home next to the Bronson City Hall so that the city can tear it down.
The home at 7 Foy Court is up for tax sale.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says in his report for Monday’s meeting says the total purchase price is just over $5,500 which is the amount of taxes owed on the parcel.
City staff estimates about $1,000 of that will come back as taxes owed to the city.
Mersman says the site would be a great location for a farmer’s market with plenty of parking and a close proximity to its current downtown location.
