COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce members joined together last week at the Quality Inn & Suites for one of the chamber’s newest workshops that focused on proper human resources practices for businesses.
David Beeson, who is a Business Growth Consultant with the Michigan Small Business Development Center, led the workshop.
It covered such topics such as: identifying sourcing opportunities for potential candidates, conducting effective interviews and using behavior-based interviewing strategies. In addition, he went over the importance of new employee on-boarding/continuous employee training programs and calculating the financial impact of employee retention versus employee turnover.
The Chamber’s next workshop will be Friday, April 12, 2019 and will be covering “The Importance of Efficient Paperwork in Business.”
